Chloe Wilson

For years, Chloe Wilson felt like she was running in circles, searching for something she couldn’t quite define. Life felt uncertain, especially after the loss of her father.

So when her stepfather, her closest friend, told her he was moving to Abu Dhabi, she didn’t hesitate. She didn’t know much about the city. She had no plan.

But she booked a one-way ticket, ready to step into the unknown.

Abu Dhabi truly is the City of Dreams. Discover the story of Ayesha Al Obaidli, the youngest Emirati chef who amazed the world with her unique flavors.

From a Temporary Job to Leading a Team

When she arrived, she had no idea what her future held. She had dropped out of university after one month and took a kitchen assistant job at a local school, more out of necessity than ambition.

However, she worked hard, saying yes to every opportunity that came her way. Ten years later, she found herself in a leadership role at the same company where she started. What began as just another temporary job became a career built on persistence and self-belief.

From Late Nights to A New Passion

Life before Abu Dhabi had been a blur of parties and distractions, a cycle without purpose. But here, she discovered something she never expected—a passion for fitness.

She started as a visitor at Crank, one of Abu Dhabi’s most popular fitness studios. It wasn’t just a workout, it was a mindset shift, a way of life that gave her clarity and purpose. Soon, she was no longer just attending classes. She was leading them, becoming an instructor and guiding others through the same transformation she had experienced.

She Didn’t Find a Community, so She Built One

Starting over in a new city can feel isolating. Chloe knew that firsthand. She had no friends to run with, no familiar faces to join her.

Instead of waiting for connection to find her, she took the first step. She posted on Instagram, asking if any women wanted to join her for a run. She expected a few responses.

The first week, three women showed up. The next? Fifty.

What began as a simple run turned into something bigger—a space where women from different backgrounds came together, not just to move, but to support and empower one another.

"Together, we are stronger."

It wasn’t just about fitness. It was about belonging, and proving that sometimes, the community you need is the one you build yourself.

"where Would I Be if I Hadn’t Come to Abu Dhabi?"

A decade later, Chloe looks back at the life she built, the community she created, and the person she became.

She’s no longer running aimlessly. Now, she knows exactly where she’s going.
